Autumn Work Party Weekend - Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October
Many jobs to be performed - inside and outside. Please bring appropriate clothing and PPE: overalls, boots, gloves, masks etc. Start time both days at 08:00am. Finish just after midday. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 YEARS (INCLUDING CADET MEMBERS) ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE WORK PARTY FOR SAFETY REASONS (agreed by General Committee).

There are currently two dates planned: Sunday 27th October and Sunday 24th November. Meals will be provided and served by "The Laughing Pear Catering Company". RYA Day Skipper Theory Course (at Leigh-on-Sea Sailing Club)
This course is run by BYC member Mike Wilkinson (proprietor of the company "Perfect Day Watersports") and will be held over two separate weekends in January 2025: 11th & 12th, and 18th & 19th. Venue: Leigh-on-Sea Sailing Club. BYC members receive a £50 discount. Normal price is £350, therefore £300 to BYC members. All course material included. Freshly Made Sandwiches available to purchase in the bar
Hannah from "Coffee and Moore", a local Benfleet based business providing light lunches to the Benfleet community, will now be supplying freshly prepared pre-packed sandwiches to the Club at a very reasonable price of £3.20 per pack. Initially deliveries will be 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We will adjust the delivery schedule with demand. Please come along for a lunchtime drink and a sandwich in support of the Club.

Sue Hancock receives an RYA Lifetime Commitment Award
In November 2023, Sue Hancock, Benfleet Yacht Clubs former Secretary and Race Officer, was presented with an RYA "life-time commitment" award for her many years of dedicated service to the club.
