2024 Season Cruise Planning Evening - Friday 20th October

Incorporating "A PIE AND A PINT" - bring a pie and consume a pint (or two). Other drinks are also available.
Benfleet Yacht Club hold five or six organised cruises each year. Our cruising events are usually a great success and well attended. Typical events are:
- Easter weekend cruise - destination typically Queenborough
- Early May Bank Holiday cruise to Chatham Marina with BBQ
- Wine and Cheese event in Stangate Creek
- August Bank Holiday Cruise - destination varies to suit the tide times
- End of Season Cruise - destination typically Medway Yacht Club with meal
Rather than one person organise all events throughout the season, the Sailing Committee are seeking individuals / boat crews to be responsible for a single event.
With this approach, the work is not onerous: usual duties include: prepare advance advertising and boat participation list, booking the destination venue etc.
To make each event a success, we are seeking members to attend this Cruise Planning event and offer to host just one of the planned cruises for the 2024 season. This event is also a good opportunity to meet and have a drink with fellow BYC cruising members.
