Welcome to the website for Benfleet Yacht Club
A large and friendly club situated along the shore of Benfleet Creek, on the northern coast of Canvey Island, Essex.
Our club offers great opportunities for dinghy and cruiser sailing, plus coastal rowing. Dinghy sailing and coastal rowing mainly take place in the sheltered waters of Benfleet Creek, whilst for yacht cruising, the creek provides a gateway to the Thames Estuary and beyond. We have a large number of tidal moorings for yachts and our on-shore storage for both yachts and dinghies are second to none.
Complementing our sailing programme, we have a superb clubhouse, where the bar is open lunchtime and evenings 7 days a week, for members to meet up for a drink, a chat and a bite to eat, plus we provide an active social and entertainments programme throughout the year.

April Sunday Roast Dinner - Sunday 28th April
TIME: from 12:00 to 15:00 Menu choices: Roast Gammon (£17.50), Roast Chicken (£16.50) or Roasted Vegetable Tartlet (£16.50), all served with the usual trimmings. Cadet Sail Training Week 2024 - Registration Process
Saturday 3rd to Wednesday 4th August 202. The registration system for Cadet Sail Training Week 2024 is now open. Please note that numbers are restricted. Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Where use of a club boat is required, priority will be given to "new / first time" participants. Mid Summer Party incorporating the Nore Race Prizegiving - Friday 5th July
Come celebrate both the Mid Summer and the Nore Race at this combined event. Including presentation of the Nore Race prizes. Live music provided by the band "Maskara".
