Hi, I am a 15 year old lad, a Benfleet Yacht Club Cadet member and a member of an Admiralty Recognised Sea Scout Group (4th Canvey Island, Columbus Explorers). I have experience on single handers such as toppers, lasers and omegas, as well as small multi handers such as wayfarers, I have also helmed dorys with outboards. I hold the RYA Stage 4 Sailing and Level 2 Power Boat certificates. I would like the opportunity to expand my knowledge and crew on bigger boats. Does anyone feel like giving me a chance?

ANN ADAMS, bus-pass holder (whatever that means) and member of BYC, is available again during 2006 to help crew anything anywhere for a day sail or a few days. Some of my main sailing last year covered:-

 
- with Derek Philpot on "Gratitude" around and across the Estuary, and up east coast,

- raced; with Phil Bostock in the Nore Race;

- with Gordon on his Seadog "Tarry" down to Brixham;

- on my Topper Topaz "Nutty Nanny" poodled around the creek;

- and on my Tideway "Annsoff" in the Tideway Regatta at Leigh;

- twice bareboated in the BVIs with my husband (who is not a sailor, but suffers it) for 2 weeks and 3 weeks on 36 and 37 footers;

- and finally, a week around Norway on an old rebuilt Devon working boat "Bessie Ellen".

 

I hold Day Skipper and First Aid Certificate, but not a Navigation one yet, still studying!  Needless to say I am not into housework thesedays - but keep a very tidy ship and can cook and be relied upon to pull my weight.

Steve Sargent, fit 56 year old member of BYC. I have some experience of sailing although limited. I am keen to gain experience by crewing for BYC skippers. I have the RYA competent crew and spent two weeks in June 2007 sailing in the Caribbean. I have also been out a couple of times from BYC with Ron McCarthy, I would like to sail crusier's and am available for day sailing, weekends or a few days, so if anyone wants some company while sailing I would like to be invited along. Having sold my Hurley 22 after 17 years sailing, usually single-handed, I now seek to act as occasional crew.

I hold Day Skipper, VHF DSC Certificates and have crewed on Hunter, Jeanneau, Hallberg-Rassy, Elizabethan, Achilles and other craft. Was trained (long ago!) as Seaman B3 and was crew and then coxswain of 30 foot harbour launch in UK and Egypt.
